Description
Auto Attribute Assigner lets you define, per product category, which WooCommerce product attributes (and optional default values) should be applied to products in that category. When you create a product in a matching category, the attributes are added automatically – no more setting the same attributes by hand on every new product.
This version is completely free with no feature limits.

Installation
- Upload the plugin to the
/wp-content/plugins/directory, or install it directly from the WordPress plugin directory. - Activate the plugin through the « Plugins » menu in WordPress.
- Make sure WooCommerce is installed and activated.
- Go to Auto Attribute Assigner in the admin menu and create your category rules.

How do I assign attributes to a category?

Open Auto Attribute Assigner, select a product category, check the attributes you want (and optionally set a default value), then save the rule. New products created in that category will receive the attributes automatically.

Why don’t my existing products get the attributes automatically?

Attributes are assigned automatically only when a product is first created, so the plugin never overwrites or re-adds attributes on later edits. To apply the presets to products that already exist, use the « Assign presets to all products » button on the settings page, or the manual « Assign » button on a single product.

Does the plugin remove attributes?

No. Deleting a rule never removes attributes that were already written to your products.

- New: Role based permission matrix – decide per user role who may see the plugin, create or edit rules, delete rules, use the « Assign » button on a product and run the bulk assignment.
- New: Users whose role may not see the plugin get no menu entry and no entry in the plugins list – for them the plugin looks as if it were not installed.
- Security: Every action is checked again on the server (saving, deleting, bulk assign, AJAX assign), not only hidden in the interface.
