How It Works

  1. Register or Enter Business ID:

    • New users click « Register & Get Business ID » to go to registration page
    • Existing users can enter their Business ID directly

Getting Started

  1. Install and activate the plugin
  2. Go to Convinex Settings
  3. If you don’t have a Business ID:
    • Click « Register & Get Business ID »
    • This redirects you to the registration page
    • Register and get your Business ID
    • Return to WordPress and enter your Business ID
  4. If you have a Business ID:
    • Click « I Have Business ID »
    • Enter your Business ID
    • Click « Verify & Save Business ID »
  5. Save settings
  6. Your chatbot is now live!

Installation

Automatic Installation

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin panel
  2. Navigate to Plugins Add New
  3. Search for « Convinex »
  4. Click Install Now
  5. Click Activate

Manual Installation

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file
  2. Log in to your WordPress admin panel
  3. Navigate to Plugins Add New
  4. Click Upload Plugin
  5. Choose the ZIP file and click Install Now
  6. Click Activate

Configuration

  1. After activation, go to Convinex Settings
  2. Click « Register & Get Business ID » to register on the main site
  3. Copy your Business ID from the registration page
  4. Return to WordPress plugin settings
  5. Click « I Have Business ID » and enter your Business ID
  6. Click « Verify & Save Business ID »
  7. Save settings
  8. Visit your website to see the chatbot in action!

You can get your Business ID by:
1. Clicking « Register & Get Business ID » in plugin settings (redirects to registration page)
2. Registering on the convinex website
3. Finding it in your convinex dashboard after logging in

  • Makes sure your site loads the latest chatbot script. Recent fixes — the chat window showing another business’s details, and the chat window being misaligned inside some WordPress themes — were made on the Convinex servers. Sites using a CDN or a caching plugin could still be serving an older cached copy of the script. This release changes the script version so a fresh copy is always fetched.
  • No changes to your settings or to how the plugin behaves — a safe update.

  • Fixed: the chatbot could show a different company’s name, address and services instead of your own. A Business ID pasted with a stray space, newline or quote was stored as-is and could not be matched, and the widget then fell back to a shared demo business. IDs are now trimmed and validated when you save them.
  • Fixed: the widget no longer loads at all if the saved Business ID is invalid, instead of displaying another business’s details on your site.
  • Added: « Verify Business ID » is now always available on the settings screen (previously it disappeared once any ID was saved, so a wrong one could never be tested).
  • Added: an admin notice explains when an invalid Business ID is the reason the chatbot is not appearing.
  • Fixed: chat window no longer overflows the screen on phones and narrow windows — the send button and footer are no longer cut off.
  • Fixed: stray markup on the settings screen that could break the layout in some admin themes.
