Installation

GETTING STARTED

Before installing the plugin, you will need your Access Key and Secret Key. These credentials authenticate your store with Nimbbl servers.

  1. Existing Users: Login to the Nimbbl Dashboard to retrieve your keys.
  2. New Users: If you don’t have an account yet, please Sign Up Here.
    • Note: Account approval and login details typically take up to 1 working day to be issued.

Step 1: Install Plugin

You can install the plugin automatically via the WordPress directory or manually by uploading the files.

Option 1: Automatic Installation (Recommended) 1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard. 2. Navigate to Plugins > Add New. 3. Search for « Nimbbl ». 4. Click Install Now and then Activate.

Option 2: Manual Installation 1. Download the latest plugin .zip file from the WordPress repository. 2. In your WordPress Admin, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. 3. Select the downloaded zip file and click Install Now. 4. Click Activate Plugin.

Step 2: Configuration

Once activated, follow these steps to connect your store:

  1. Navigate to Settings: Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments.
  2. Select Nimbbl: Find « Nimbbl » in the list and click Manage (or click the « Finish set up » button).
  3. Enable Payment Method: Check the box to enable Nimbbl.
  4. Add Description: We recommend using the following text for better conversion: > Pay securely with your preferred mode: UPI, Cards, Netbanking, or Buy Now Pay Later.
  5. Enter Credentials:
    • Select « Test » mode for the Environment.
    • Enter your Test Access Key and Test Secret Key (copied from your Nimbbl Dashboard).
  6. Save Changes.

Step 3: Setting Up Webhooks

Webhooks ensure your order statuses (e.g., Pending, Paid, Failed) update automatically in WooCommerce when a payment is completed.

  1. In the Nimbbl Plugin settings, look for the Webhook URL field.
  2. The plugin automatically generates this URL for you.
  3. Action Required: Copy this URL and email it to help@nimbbl.biz or share it with your Nimbbl account manager to have it whitelisted on our servers.

Step 4: Go Live

  1. Test Your Store: Ensure « Test Mode » is enabled in the plugin settings and perform a few test transactions to verify the flow.
  2. Switch to Live:
    • Go to Nimbbl Plugin Settings.
    • Change the Environment from Test to Live.
    • Enter your Live Access Key and Live Secret Key.
    • Click Save Changes.
    • You are now ready to accept real payments!

  • Order status after a successful payment now follows WooCommerce’s own rule: Processing for orders needing fulfilment, Completed only when every item is both Virtual and Downloadable. Previously all paid orders were forced to Completed.
  • Cash on Delivery orders remain Processing and now record an order note confirming the COD payment.
  • Fixed a race that could create two WooCommerce orders for a single payment when the webhook and the browser return arrived together.
  • Reduced checkout latency by reusing the merchant auth token within a request.
  • Note for stores selling downloadable-but-not-virtual products (or mixed carts containing one): these orders now land in Processing rather than Completed. Downloads stay available immediately because WooCommerce’s « Grant access to downloadable products after payment » setting is enabled by default; if you have disabled it, download access waits until the order is marked Completed.
