Check exactly the usages you want to update, choose a replacement file, and Sifency Bulk Metadata Commander swaps it in only for the posts you selected — everything else is left untouched. ## Installation 1. Upload the plugin files to `/wp-content/plugins/sifency-bulk-metadata-commander`, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly. 2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress. 3. Use the « Sifency Bulk Metadata Commander » menu item in the admin sidebar for bulk updates, or its « Media Usage » submenu to find/replace media. ## FAQ ### Will this overwrite my existing data? Only if you choose « Replace » for that specific field. Every meta field, the featured image, and the gallery each have their own independent replace-or-ignore setting. ### Does this work with any post type? Yes, any public, UI-visible post type registered on your site is available, along with its registered taxonomies. ### Can I replace a media file in only some of the posts that use it, not all of them? Yes. The Media Usage screen lists every usage individually with a checkbox, so you can select exactly which posts get the replacement. ### Does this plugin store any settings of its own?
