Description
Wonder Payment for WooCommerce lets merchants accept Wonder Payments directly from WooCommerce. The plugin supports gateway setup, payment links, webhook-based payment status updates, manual order synchronization, and full or partial refunds.
External services
This plugin connects to Wonder Payment services to create and manage payment orders, generate payment links, query payment and refund status, and process refunds.
A Wonder merchant account, App ID, and related credentials are required to use the gateway.
Depending on the feature used, the plugin may send the following data to Wonder:
- Merchant configuration data such as App ID and environment when testing the connection or configuring the gateway.
- Merchant setup and onboarding data such as login session tokens, business IDs, business names, and related account profile data when the store owner uses the setup wizard to connect a Wonder account and choose a business.
- Order data such as order reference number, amount, currency, due date, line items or labels, callback URL, and return URL when creating or updating a Wonder order.
- Payment and refund data such as Wonder order number, transaction UUID, refund amount, and refund reason when querying status or sending a refund request.
Wonder may send webhook requests back to the store callback URL when order or payment status changes. Those requests can include order numbers, reference numbers, payment state, paid total, transaction identifiers, and related order details.
The plugin uses the following Wonder service endpoints depending on the selected mode. Live mode uses production endpoints; sandbox mode runs on the platform’s sandbox endpoints: sandbox identity derivation and business cloning run on the staging merchant portal and the sandbox registry gateway, and sandbox orders, payments, and refunds run on the staging API gateway:
- Production API:
https://gateway.wonder.today - Staging API (sandbox payments):
https://gateway-stg.wonder.today - Production merchant setup service:
https://main.bindo.co - Staging merchant setup service (sandbox identity derivation):
https://main-stg.bindo.co - Sandbox registry service (sandbox business cloning):
https://gateway-alpha.wonder.app
The setup wizard also calls the following external QR code rendering service while the merchant setup modal is open:
- QR Code API:
https://api.qrserver.com
When QR code rendering is used, the plugin sends the short Wonder login URL generated for the current setup session to QR Server so the QR image can be displayed to the merchant. No customer, order, or payment data is sent to QR Server.

1.0.9
- New « Enable Gateway » switch in the setup wizard’s Settings step (defaults to on): finishing the wizard now activates the gateway right away, instead of requiring a second trip to the gateway settings page that newer WooCommerce interfaces no longer expose
- Clicking the gateway’s enable toggle on the payments list no longer opens the setup wizard — it simply enables or disables the gateway, as expected
- The payments settings page now reloads automatically after saving in the wizard, so the gateway’s enabled state is immediately reflected
1.0.8
- Restore the correct sandbox routing: sandbox payments run against the staging gateway, where the sandbox business and its App ID live, instead of the production gateway (1.0.7 pointed them at the wrong domain and sandbox activation always failed)
- Sandbox identity derivation and business cloning call the platform’s sandbox endpoints again, so enabling sandbox mode no longer fails with « Invalid operation »
- Legacy staging credentials from versions up to 1.0.6 are migrated into the separate sandbox credential store instead of being discarded
- Keep all 1.0.7 credential-safety fixes: separate live/sandbox credential stores, webhook signature verification accepting both keys, wizard failure messages that keep the sandbox switch in sync with what was actually saved
- Remove unused AJAX handlers left over from earlier versions (order debug data and log export endpoints that no UI ever called)
1.0.7
- Fix « Invalid credential » errors that could happen when sandbox mode was enabled: sandbox now runs as a test mode inside the production domain instead of switching to staging endpoints
- Live and sandbox credentials are stored separately, so switching sandbox mode no longer resets or mismatches credentials
- Webhook signature verification now accepts both live and sandbox webhook keys
- The setup wizard gains a live/sandbox mode switch and clearer in-wizard error messages
- Fix the setup wizard not showing the generated public key in the activation form
1.0.6
- Maintenance release: realign the plugin package with the current release channel
1.0.5
- Fix the WooCommerce payment settings page becoming unresponsive during initial Wonder Payment setup.
1.0.4
- Review fixes and packaging cleanup
1.0.3
- Fix WordPress text domain alignment for plugin review checks
- Update readme contributors and external services disclosure for WordPress.org review
- Move admin inline scripts and styles into enqueued assets
- Remove deprecated OpenSSL cleanup calls and tighten webhook validation
1.0.2
- Initial release
