• Added a « Show popup » setting: display it every page load (previous, still default, behavior) or only once per visitor.
• When set to « Once per visitor », a new « Remember for » setting controls how long that’s remembered in the visitor’s browser: a day, a week, a month (default), a year, or forever.
• Available and synced in both the classic metabox and the Elementor document panel, same as the other popup settings.
• « Once per visitor » is tracked via the visitor’s own browser storage – no data is sent to or stored on the server, and clearing browser data or using a different browser/device resets it.

Elementor integration
* Popup document settings (Position, Splash close, Delay, Class) are now available directly in Elementor’s document panel, in sync with the classic metabox – whichever editor you last saved with wins, and the other editor’s fields update to match.
* The classic « Simple popup settings » metabox is now automatically hidden once a popup has been built with Elementor, to avoid duplicate/confusing controls.
* New « Simple Popup » Elementor widget: insert any existing popup on any page or post by dragging it onto the canvas and picking a popup from a dropdown. Not available while editing a popup itself, to avoid nesting a popup inside itself.
* The widget supports optional per-placement overrides (splash close, delay, class, width, background, background curtain, margin, padding) – leaving a field blank uses the popup’s own saved setting; filling it in overrides it for that placement only, without touching the popup’s own settings.
* The popup now renders live inside the Elementor editor: it appears when you select the « Simple Popup » widget (in the canvas or the Structure panel), and hides again when you switch to editing a different widget, instead of either staying invisible the whole time or auto-popping up on every editor load.
* Fixed a WP_Styles _doing_it_wrong notice (« dependencies that are not registered: elementor-frontend ») that could appear – and silently break the widget’s live preview – when editing an Elementor-built popup through the widget.
* Fixed the popup’s own CSS occasionally appearing as raw, unstyled text inside the popup when switching which popup is selected in the widget.

Popup styling
* Added 5 ready-made popup style presets (Minimal, Rounded Card, Dark Mode, Gradient Accent, Bold Border), selectable from a new « Popup style » dropdown – previously this field existed but wasn’t connected to anything.
* Theme developers can add their own custom styles by placing a CSS file in their active theme’s /gazzit-simplepopup/popup-styles/ folder; a theme file with the same name as a bundled preset overrides it. An optional /* Style Name: ... */ header at the top of the file controls its label in the dropdown.
* The close button can now be plain text (customizable) or one of 4 built-in icons, chosen per popup. Developers can add their own icons via the gazzit_simplepopup_close_icons filter.
* Popup margin and padding, previously only visible while editing the popup’s layout in Elementor, are now actually applied to the popup as it appears on the site.

Admin experience
* Redesigned the « Simple popup settings » metabox with clearer field grouping, icons and descriptions, matching native WordPress admin styling.
* Added an « Edit Simple Popups » link in the admin toolbar on any front-end page that’s actually displaying one or more popups (via shortcode or site-wide display), linking straight to the correct editor (Elementor or classic) for each one.

Bug fixes
* Fixed a JavaScript bug where explicitly turning « Popup splash close » off could still close the popup on splash click, because the string « 0 » is truthy in JavaScript.
* Fixed a template bug where a message box could be left with an unclosed <div>.
* Fixed a template bug that double-printed the « Simple popup » admin page heading.
* Removed a redundant ID-sanitizing call in the popup shortcode handler.
* General code cleanup: removed stray closing PHP tags, redundant database lookups, and tightened output escaping in several templates.
* Reconciled the plugin’s version number, which had drifted out of sync between the plugin header (1.0.1) and this readme’s Stable tag (1.0.3).
