Description
Sityn Image Optimizer integrates with the WordPress media uploader and optimizes image files in the browser before upload. It supports resizing, quality control, and conversion to WebP, JPG, PNG, and AVIF where supported.
The plugin processes selected images client-side, then passes the optimized files to the normal WordPress media upload flow.
Installation
- Upload the plugin folder to
/wp-content/plugins/. - Activate Sityn Image Optimizer from the Plugins screen.
- Open a media upload flow and configure the optimizer panel before selecting images.

Does optimization happen on the server?

No. Image processing runs in the browser before the file is uploaded.

Does AVIF require browser support?

AVIF conversion uses a bundled WebAssembly encoder when native browser encoding is unavailable.
