ZeriseTaxo provides intelligent category and tag suggestions inside the WordPress post editor. The plugin is built around a clear, zero-friction experience:
- The Editor uses the product: A clean, distraction-free workflow supporting Suggest, Review, Apply, or Ignore without exposing ML complexity.
- The Admin configures the product: Safe global settings with manual/automatic controls and clear privacy boundaries.
- The Technical Admin inspects the system: Dedicated Developer Diagnostics displaying read-only calibrated engine weights, thresholds, and performance metrics.

- Site-Specific Learning: A supervised classifier trained directly on your site’s published content with token coverage, confidence, and margin safety gates.
- Global Local Engine: High-performance PHP-native classifier running in-process using bundled float32 model data with memory-efficient feature-major loading.
- Tag Candidate Extraction: Extracts candidate tags from post content, matching existing terms or proposing high-relevance new tags.
- Privacy by Default: 100% of local prediction occurs on your server. No post content leaves your machine unless optional cloud assistance is configured.
External Services
This plugin operates 100% locally by default using an embedded in-process PHP machine learning engine. It does not send any data externally for standard operations.
Optionally, administrators may enable cloud AI assistance in the settings. If and only if the site administrator enters their own Google Gemini API key and explicitly activates AI assistance, the plugin connects to Google Gemini:
- Service Provider: Google LLC (Google Generative AI / Gemini API)
- Purpose: Generates semantic category and tag suggestions when local classification confidence is below threshold.
- Data Transmitted: Only the post title and content excerpt/summary are sent when a user explicitly requests an AI suggestion. No personal user data, site credentials, or database records are transmitted.
- When Data is Sent: Only upon an explicit user request when AI assistance is enabled.

Installation
- Upload
zerisetaxo.zipvia WordPress Admin > Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin (or extract into/wp-content/plugins/zerisetaxo/). - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
- Start writing posts in Gutenberg or the Classic Editor — category and tag predictions are generated automatically.
- (Optional) In ZeriseTaxo > Settings, enable Site Learning to train a personalized classifier on your own taxonomy once you have published posts.

Does this plugin require an external API key or Python server?

No! The default engine is 100% PHP-native and runs inside WordPress using bundled model weights. No Python, microservice, or external API keys are required.

Yes. The plugin never replaces or interferes with native WordPress category and tag management. Suggestions are strictly assistive and never block publishing.

How do I disable all cloud communication?

Leave the « Enable AI Assistance » option unchecked in ZeriseTaxo > Settings (this is the default state).
