Description
When a logout link has no security token — a menu item pointing to wp-login.php?action=logout, a cached page, or the WooCommerce « Log out » link in some themes — WordPress shows « You are attempting to log out of… Do you really want to log out? » and WooCommerce shows « Are you sure you want to log out? Confirm and log out ». Visitors have to click a second time.
This plugin logs the user out straight away instead.
- Works with WordPress logout links (
wp-login.php?action=logout). - Works with the WooCommerce My Account « customer-logout » endpoint.
- Honors a safe
redirect_toparameter on the link, the WooCommerce logout redirect page if one is set, and the standardlogout_redirectfilter. - No settings, no database tables, no external requests.
Developers can change the destination with the dlc_logout_redirect_url filter.
Installation
- Install the plugin from Plugins Add New, or upload the
disable-logout-confirmationfolder to/wp-content/plugins/. - Activate it. That’s all.
FAQ
-
Is it safe?
-
Logging out is the only thing a link without a token can do, and redirects are limited to your own site (and hosts you allow with
allowed_redirect_hosts). Links that already carry a valid token are left to WordPress. -
Where do users land after logging out?
-
The
redirect_toaddress on the link if it is safe, otherwise the login screen (WordPress) or the My Account page (WooCommerce).
